My last day at the Grande Prairie Daily Herald Tribune was busy. The city was part of a cabinet tour so I got to follow the various ministers around. It was hectic but at least I finished on a news note. It would have been painful if I had to sit at the office all day twiddling my thumbs.
I leave the paper with mixed feelings. I don’t know how to explain it. I will miss the dealings with the community. I liked where I was with my various sources and stories that I was following. It was comfortable. But there comes a time when change is needed. I will miss the running community. I will miss my news buddies in radio and a few guys at the paper. It’s been an interesting three years.
Change is good. Watch out Red Deer.
