Okay so I have some time to kill. And I don’t feel like reading or watching television. So here’s my list, in no particular order.
- I’m sitting on a fitness ball right now.
- I am drinking a Traditional Ale.
- I am half-listening to a documentary on Nelson Mandela. His book, The Long Walk to Freedom is a must read for everyone. It’s wonderful.
- After I moved back to Canada (after living in Asia for four years), I had to relearn how to eat with a fork. In Korea, they use metal chopsticks and a spoon. I still prefer my chopsticks over a fork.
- I am trying to grow my hair long again. I have naturally thick and curly hair. I cut it off when I finished journalism school to look more professional. Ten years on and I have had enough of the short and in-between hair. I want my long locks back.
- I am addicted to Twitter. I don’t know why. (Yes, I do). I love the exchange of information and knowing someone is following me. (I am an attention whore or should that be #7)
- I have no desire to go quietly into the night.
- I have a degree in English Lit and Criminology and a Journalism diploma. I have read more books than I can count. I am working my way through the Booker Prize list, starting in 1990. I am nearly done.
- I have a second dan (or degree) blackbelt in tae kwon do. Yes, I can kick your ass. Yes, I am a fighter not a lover. I like to kick but I don’t practice anymore. Now and then I practice my poomaes.
- I have a short attention span. I get distracted easily.
- I climbed the Great Wall of China in flipflops. I wept when I saw the Taj Mahal. I took a cooking course in Vietnam. I climbed, walked over and rode in a boat under the Sydney Harbour Bridge. I won a dance contest in Venezuela. I drank glacier water from the Franz Josef Glacier in New Zealand. I want to do missionary work in Africa. I am saving Europe for my honeymoon.
Thanks for sharing! I'll match a few of those (sitting on the ball and Great Wall of China with flipflops) :0)
