Our editor assigned the weekend reporter, Paloma, to cruel and unusual punishment. She was assigned to write a first-person narrative about tobogganing down the two hills in Grande Prairie. Somehow I got roped into taking the pictures. Ian invited himself along so he took some pictures too. It was too bloody cold to be out there. It was -36. I kid you not. On top of that, the three of us were nursing varying forms of hangovers. Not a good mix.

I had to get on the toboggan. It was a little scary. I had enough clothes on except my mitts were too thin. I wish it was at least 10 degrees warmer so we could have stayed out longer.

Even Ian had to have a go on the toboggan. Later he bragged he was the only one who could stir the carpet.

And there’s Paloma with snow blowing in the wind. She’s definitely a good sport.
