lines written in early spring

Diana saved me from a complete day of watching sports on the television last night. No joke, I started the morning with tennis, then football, then soccer and finally hockey. In between a run and some writing, that’s all I did. Sad but true.

We went to see Broadway Live Broadway’s Beauty and the Beast. Performed by local actors, the musical was spotty at times but generally pretty good. One particular male actor was pretty funny. I think he played a candle or something. I wouldn’t mind going back to see some future performances – for free of course.

This month will go fast and November even faster. I haven’t a clue what I am doing for the holidays. Most likely I’ll be staying close to Grande Prairie as all my banked days were eaten up when I went to Ottawa. Everyone at work has booked off the same two weeks before and after Christmas. It will be quiet; that’s for sure.

Oh yeah, our managing editor, Jeffery, is having one-on-one meetings with the reporters this week too. They are not reviews but a simple chat about ways we can improve our writing, and ultimately make the paper a better product. I say, it’s long overdue. I am one of those people who needs feedback – criticism okay – feedback (worded nicely) is always welcomed.

Not sure what is on the agenda today. I’m meeting Amanda for a workout. I have an overwhelming urge to run the stairs at the Leisure Centre. My thighs are looking huge these days and I don’t think it’s muscle. Will keep you updated on this and more pressing matters.
