all that is chic and not about a boy

So my fashion-conscious and love guru friend Lisa gave me a good dressing down. She told me no uncertain terms, I am no longer allowed to wear ball caps and oversized sweaters to work. I tried pleading my case but she would not hear it. Under no circumstances, she charged, am I ever to dress like it’s the weekend. After I finished drying my tears, I agreed I should dress more professionally in order to be taken more seriously.

(On a side note, one of my coworkers told me he mistaken me for a boy when he saw the back of my head with cap on it, the day before I left Alberta. Boo hoo!)

So what did we do? We went shopping!!!! I gave my credit card a great workout. It’s never been in such great shape. This picture is taken outside Zara’s in Montreal. (Only one bag because we just started!) Gosh! I love shopping in Montreal. The city is so vibrant and alive. It’s funny how one can feel like such a slob in that city even when you do dress up!

I bought some really cool boots for way too much money. Lisa didn’t find any boots to suit her taste but she managed to find a hot pair at the Rideau Centre in Ottawa a few days later.
