Grande Prairie is getting all the rain it needed this summer this weekend. I am lying on my bed watching Love in the time of Cholera. I loved the book, long as it was, but the movie is a little too drawn out and too shortly developed if that makes sense. The theme remains the same though….love, love and more love.
I’m not as idealistic as I used to be but I do admit romance does cloud my judgement. And I am a grand believer of the great love story. I loved Eric Segal’s Love Story (the book – not so much the movie). Unfortunately I am not as invested in the movie as I were in the book. The book made me cry. I loved books that make me cry. Love stories are supposed to evoke tears not a dry eye.
I haven’t made any plans for the rest of the weekend save for running tomorrow morning. I am not 100 per cent up for it yet. My foot is still bothering me. I hate using excuses as you know but we’ll see.
I just finished Love in the Time of Cholera two days ago! (It took me much less time than 100 Years of Solitude). So is that a reccomendation for the movie or not?
I loved the book but the movie not so much.
