I had the best sleep last night. I must tell you all. Sometimes you don’t realize you are not getting enough sleep until you have a kick ass sleep. Well last night was the night. I woke full with energy and zest. I couldn’t wait to get out of bed and start my day. Now I can’t say I had exciting plans before me but I did make good use of my time. My only disappointment today is Calgary lost to Edmonton in the Labour Day Classic. Oh well.

It’s Jean’s and Al’s 18th wedding anniversary today. I wanted to write a sappy poem about long lasting love etc etc but Jean put a stop to that. She said, I could only if I emailed it to her privately. Now how much fun is that? Sorry Jean can’t do it – I am an artist and I seek the reverence of my fans.

Speaking of everlasting love, I put some thought into the wedding speech/toast I have to write at Melissa’s and Nick’s nuptials. I am a little nervous about speaking in front of all these people. I have never been that good at giving speeches. I am hoping the four years in Korea has taught me to overcome my fear of public speaking. Otherwise it will take a bottle or two (okay who’s kidding who…three glasses of wine) to loosen up my tongue. I just hope I don’t make a complete ass of myself! But Melissa and Nick know me so they are probably anticipating some kind of slip up! I promise to be good. Really!
