Somedays the colours, oh the colours of flowers make you stop and look. Maybe this happens for other people more often than I do but in my case I rarely stop and smell the flowers.

I am proudly say I know these are sunflowers. At work if we take a picture of a flower, bird or rock we have to identify it for our readers. I know nothing about flowers….just that some are blue, purple, yellow or whatever.

I rose early this morning to watch the opening ceremony for the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. I managed to keep my eyes open for an hour and to watch the Canadians bring the flag in. That’s it. I was so tired. I went back to bed for three and a half more hours. Fortunately on the french channel, they were still broadcasting or rebroadcasting when I got out of bed. I didn’t see everything but I got a good feel. Well done, I must say. I quite enjoyed the bits I saw.
