At work, At play, At rest, At best, At home

I have the worse desk in the newsroom. And it’s not only me to says this so quit thinking I am just being fickle. So I took matters into my hands and moved one part of my desk away. Fortunately one coworker wanted it. Now my desk no longer faces the entrance. Before I felt like a secretary as everyone who entered saw me first. Now I face the printer. It’s not pretty but now at least I am not as easily distracted.

At 8 p.m. it will be Earth Hour. Cities around the world will flick off their lights for one hour to show they care about the earth and manmade global warming. It’s symbolic more than anything. Of course I will partake. I wrote a simple article for yesterday’s paper. I wonder if Grande Prairie residents will observe it. I highly doubt it. As most people haven’t heard about it and this is heavy footprint Alberta, I highly doubt it. Still I plan to take a walk around the neighborhood to see the darkness.
