With player names I can’t pronounce (let alone spell)the Grand Prairie Storm prevailed over the Bonnyville Pontiacs 2-1 at the Canada Games Centre last night. The win edges the Storm one point ahead of the Pontiacs in the Alberta Junior Hockey League’s North Division with 44 points.
I took my brother to the game. I don’t think he was overly thrilled to be spending his Friday night at a hockey rink filled with squealing adolescents. But then again I could be wrong.
Unlike the 67s’ games, the overwhelming majority of the fan base were young girls wearing too much makeup and young boys chasing eachother through the stands. I guess this is what kids do on Friday nights in Grand Prairie. I hope I can convince Johnny and Jaime to go to more games with me.
