Like I said things are overwhelming me but I am dealing. Over the last few days I have seen Alison, Elyse, Barb, Sylvie, Nick, Andrew, Rene, Chris, Mo and others. Let me tell you that socializing is exhausting. I remember Lucy told me she gained all this weight when she moved back to Canada. I know it wasn’t from eating but from drinking. I have drank nearly every day since I got over my jetlag.
I am not complaining but it sure is tiresome. While I sort through things I have decided the best thing to help me get accustomed to Canadian life again is to play as many sports as I can. Thus I have joined my old teammates on the Raiders. Okay I didn’t make the last practice and that means that technically I can’t play the next game. But I am hoping the girls will let this one pass. I’ll be there at the game tomorrow night.
I am going to join Geoff’s soccer team Thursday nights. That should be fun. Since I tore my ligament in October my right leg has been giving me grief. I hope it can withstand my craziness.
I am green with envy at all those bladers I see everywhere. Man, I miss inline skating. My blades are supposedly en route from Busan. I can’t count on them to reach me in the next few days so chances are I will be out shopping for blades shortly. I can’t imagine being in Ottawa without rollerblades.
Anyway getting back to my agenda. I’ll be in Ottawa for another week then I will be off to Halifax for two or three weeks. That’s all, I repeat, that’s all I have planned. I am considering staying in Ottawa until the winter and then I will go from there.
