In Delhi is where you would have found me these last three days. After another not so wonderful train experience, I found myself in the chaos of Paranaji Street, the backpacker hub in New Delhi.
Like Khao San Road in Thailand, this street is lined with shops, street merchants and food stalls. It’s not as seedy and there’s not as many foreigners as KSR but the manginess of it all is definitely here.
Delhi is definitely cleaner than any other place I have seen in India. Actually I have seen several garbage cans that people actually use. Shocking to say the least.
I met up with Sayaka and it was good to see a familiar face. We had dinner, drinks and a few laughs.
I went on a day tour to see most of the sites Delhi has to offer. I had a great time. More later. I’m at the railstation, waiting to depart for the Uttranchal. I am going North where I can see the Himalayas.
More updates with pics later this week.
