Taken in the pink city in Jaipur, I don’t think this boy was amused. I pretended to take a picture of the banana cart but the boy knew I was trying to take a snap of him. Oops!

Outside toilets are everywhere in India. Men, women and children will go anywhere. This is nothing. On my train journeys,I have seen men doing number two all along the rail tracks. Babies are held over drains to pee. The thing is nobody is embarassed or shy about it. They just laugh if you happen to catch them at their business.

Indian men in Pushkar work very hard. It was 36 degrees and this man was loading sacs on his camel cart. He was at it for hours. The heat didn’t seem to bother him or his coworkers. Later in the day, when he was driving his camel, he and his friend were all smiles to see me again.

When I was waiting for the train in Jaipur, two monkeys the size of a small child jumped in front of me and then across the railroad track. It was frightening. Monkeys are everywhere here. You have to be careful because they will snatch whatever you have.

Whatever this is, it is yummy. I tried it the first time here in Pushkar. Now I can’t get enough of it.

No exaggeration here. This is how people ride in buses in India. A man stands on the steps and screams out the destination (with hopes of picking up more passengers). Unfortunately, I haven’t had the opportunity to travel on the high seats.
