I haven’t had much time to catch my breath this week. Winter session has begun so my workplace resembles something like a jumble gym. Parents, students and teachers alike are running amok. It’s quite the challenge to move from the entrance to my desk at the back of the school.
My classes are fine for the most part. This week I started at 2 pm and ended at 7:30 pm. I know this light schedule won’t last so I am enjoying it while I can. All of the Korean teachers are working 10 hours straight without a break. That’s ridiculous and illegal.
The two new teachers started this week. Both seem capable and friendly. On Wednesday night, I went out with Angus again to Obs. We drank until about 1:30 am. Thus I was tired these last couple days. Roger was there too but I haven’t had the chance to talk to him since he arrived.
Before I forget…two students got in a fistfight over smoking downstairs from our offices. It was so serious that the police were called and one boy had to be rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately, I missed everything but I did get an account of the events from one of the Korean teachers and I did see the police officer.
