Checking out Children’s Park in Busan

As it happens, some things aren’t always what they appear to be. Sadly, I learned this first hand today as I walked a loop around Children’s Park. As you avid readers of my blog know, on occasion I make it to CP to get some fresh air and exercise. In fact this was my second time in a week that I made the trek. Becasuse yesterday we finished our summer session middle school classes, I finished teaching at 130 pm which meant I had lots of free time.

I wanted to make the best of my time so I went back to CP to relax and enjoy the summer day. What I didn’t know was that I was in for a big surprise. One that would lead me to expose a fraud, a shark, a charlaton. And as much as it pains me to admit that I was indeed bamboozled by this beguiler’s chicanery, I was to the highest degree possible. Now my side of the incident.

Take a good look at the pic, I have leading my entry today. What do you see? Look very closely. See that Swan in the middle of the lake? Well guess what? It’s not a real swan. It’s an impostor, a dumb plastic toy put in the lake to jerk around people like you and me.

Fooled you, didn’t I? Let me give you some background information to my chronicle. Whenever I went to CP, I would walk within hearing distance of the Swan. We’d have pleasant conversations mostly about the weather and global warming but they were with him. Granted they were in my head but they were still chats. After all this time, I just learned that all my discourses were with nothing but articifical Swan in the middle of the lake. Can anyone feel any more stupid, I might ask?
