I shared the fact that I bought Canadian History for Dummies with my coworkers today. Immediately I was quizzed on my knowledge. Granted I could have made up anything, as they were both non-Canadian, but I decided to fess up and admit that I haven’t read anything in the book. To be even more honest, I have to admit that I really don’t remember any Canadian history. That’s so sad especially today when Canadians are fighting for their identity on the global scale. In fact, I probably know more American history then anything. But I am ready to change that. I decided while I was travelling that I should embrace who I am, and where I come from. One way to do this is to freshen my knowledge of Canadian history.
So feel free to quiz me about the Confederation, New France, or whatever. I guarantee you, I will be ready!
