A Thai man hanged himself on a tree not far from Khao San Road. Our minivan was unfortunate enough to witness his remains this morning on our way to Khanchanaburi. Crowds of people were gawking at the grisly sight with the police watching close by and making no attempts to keep the crowds at bay. You would think that they would put up some ropes or barriers. I didn’t look but the others in my group did and it is from their sight that I write this.
