Butterfly Effect

Typhoon Nabi has make its way to our region. Nabi is butterfly in Korean. Rain is coming down and lots of it. The wind isn’t so bad but the storm has just hit and I am told it might get worse tonight. I don’t mind as I am at work and it’s not so bad. I hope I don’t get a cold from all this weather. I’ll take some pics later and post them for all you Canadians back home to see. I hope you are enjoying your Labour Day weekend!

I’ve been really busy as of late. So I haven’t had much time to do any posting. Nothing much has happened. Last weekend, I stayed in. Even though Saturday there was a big party for one of my friends, I stuck to my guns and stayed in and got the much needed rest that my body needs. And no alcohol!! Although a beer would be nice right now…… I think I can easily stay away from the demon alcohol for a month– only if I stay at home. I think the real test will be when I go out. Chances are I will only last two weeks as Chu-seok is coming up and I have four days off. I haven’t decided yet what to do. I might go to Japan or just tour around Korea. This will be my last major “break” before I leave the land of the morning calm. Five months and counting.

I’ve pretty much decided to spend the first lag of my journey in NZ for about six weeks or so. I really need an English speaking country, right about now.
