Up Next: Rundle’s Revenge

When my alarm started barking at 5:20 a.m., I reset it for a wake up call at 8 a.m. I am so glad I skipped crossfit this morning.

I texted Kelly to apologize for being lazy and to hear about the WOD. Her text? It was a great one to miss. It involved hundreds of lunges, burpees, push ups, pull ups etc and a crazy warm up.

Yup good one to miss especially because … I am running Rundle’s Revenge on Sunday! I need my legs to be in tip top shape for the climbs. I don’t have time for DOMS.

Rundle’s Revenge is a mountain bike and trail run race packed into two fun-filled days at the Canmore Nordic Centre. I’m assuming the name comes from Mount Rundle, the mountain range that overlooks Banff and Canmore. Distances range from 7K to 100K. Runners/bikers can go at it solo or on a relay teams. I’m running the 25K trail – two laps of 12.5 km.

This will be a challenging but well worth it. Perfect training run for Lost Souls.

As you know, I haven’t been on the trail much at all this year. (Thanks Mother Nature.) I am so looking forward to dirtying up my sneakers. It’s going to be a blast. Cory and Yvonne are also down for a little trail. Glad to have some company!

I’ll head out to Canmore early on Saturday morning. I am going to take my time and enjoy the scenic drive.
