I'm still standing

I know I have been MIA for days. While in Monday’s post I whined and fretted about being undertrained, I promise you I haven’t gone completely off the deep end.

I am still running. I haven’t thrown in the water bottle. Thanks for the kind words. I haven’t completely lost my my mind. It’s also that time of month (too much information?) and I think life was just getting me down!

All good now. Meanwhile I have been trying to get caught up on sleep (if that’s even possible) and studying. I’ve also stayed away from reading my usual running blogs. I needed a time out. 

This week I have been doing a lot of rolling and stretching. I had asked the folks at Flaman Fitness at West Edmonton Mall to put aside a Rumble Roller because they don’t sell them in Red Deer. A friend said he would pick it up for me. What he picked up was not the Rumble Roller. I was a little ticked. It wasn’t my friend’s fault but the idiots at Flaman who pulled a fast one! They could have just said they were out of stock! 

I have also been breaking all kinds of laws. You can bet your last dollar I did not give this sign a second glance (after I took the picture). I ran with glee as I am usually one who obeys all traffic signs!

Anyway just a quick post tonight. I’ll got a few things line up to write this weekend. You may have noticed I did not post a Runner Q & A today. Sorry about that. Feel free to check out the ones you may have missed. Series returns next Thursday!

  1. Sometimes we just need a break, from running, from talking about running, whatever.

    I'm also feeling undertrained, thankfully coffee with Michelle this morning made me feel better about things.
