We’ve committed to running (and in some cases walking) two kilometres a day until and on Canada Day. The fun starts on April 1st (no joke). By my math that’s 92 days of running! I will be using #RunToCanadaDay on Twitter if you’re interested in seeing how I am doing.

I’ve picked up my training up quite a few notches which means – more sleep, less blogging/web, more stretching, more healthy food and more running/crossfit. You bet I am tired! Ha ha but I love it.
This week I ran with Steve and Brent. Keeping run “dates” holds me accountable! I convinced Steve to run the 10K during the Calgary Marathon’s race weekend. He runs a lot on the basketball court but not just to run. I think he’s really enjoying the training. The above picture (left) was taken after a big night out. He was not feeling the hill repeats but he still got through them. Now that’s dedication!
Brent and I headed back to the Penhold arena for some repeats on Thursday. I didn’t do so well. I blame the Greek yogurt that I ate a couple hours earlier. Ha ha. It was great to be back at the track. We took a few weeks of to run outside because we thought the outside oval would be clear. Oh we were so wrong!
Happy Sunday!
Run streaks sound so fun! I've been suggested I should head into an early taper and I've been having some nagging niggles these days so I'm out. 🙁 But I so want to do a streak after Boston….of some kind whether it be a mile a day. 🙂
Oh no! Enjoy the tapering. I love rest days! You're going to rock Boston!
I should be joining the screat but will cheer you one! I need to be smart about my training and have a few days of travel where It would be very hard to run…so I am out!! BUT GO GO to all the fab canucks doin the streak!!
Thanks!
