As you know, I have sorta overcome my silly fear of jumping on the 20′ inch box. Still sometimes I have to pump myself up to get that first jump.
I had a lot of box jumps ahead of me in this WOD so I had to find my rhythm early.
After hearing Go, I jumped up on the box and missed. I have a big bruise (right) to prove it. Glad I had my compression sleeves on. I might have bled out even more.
I quickly tried again and nearly fell over again. I wasn’t off to a good start. I did a few step ups before trying again. Success. I headed over to the bar and attempted a T2B. Failed. I stuck with K2E for the rest of the WOD.
I found my rhythm with the set of 18 box jumps. I powered my way through the rest of the sets. I was sweating bullets. I also had a fairly nice bruise on my left leg. Another crossfit badge of honour!
