It all started with the box jumps …

Thursday WOD:

21-18-15-12-9-6-3 for Time
Boxjumps
Deadlifts
T2B

As you know, I have sorta overcome my silly fear of jumping on the 20′ inch box. Still sometimes I have to pump myself up to get that first jump.

I had a lot of box jumps ahead of me in this WOD so I had to find my rhythm early.

After hearing Go, I jumped up on the box and missed. I have a big bruise (right) to prove it. Glad I had my compression sleeves on. I might have bled out even more.

I quickly tried again and nearly fell over again. I wasn’t off to a good start. I did a few step ups before trying again. Success. I headed over to the bar and attempted a T2B. Failed. I stuck with K2E for the rest of the WOD.

I found my rhythm with the set of 18 box jumps. I powered my way through the rest of the sets. I was sweating bullets. I also had a fairly nice bruise on my left leg. Another crossfit badge of honour!

I decided on yam fries for dinner. Love them. I wasn’t paying much attention when I was slicing and dicing. And I nearly diced off two fingers. Major bleed out. I will spare you the bloody crime scene photos. My crime? Chopping without paying attention. 
I managed a pretty deep cut on my middle finger. Thankfully no stitches required. It’s pretty nasty looking. I didn’t have any bandaids so I went next door for help. I felt like an idiot. My finger was tightly wound with a dishcloth. It was also the first time I met these neighbours. I’m so lame. The bleeding stopped after awhile so I managed to finish my fries. (See if you can find my missing finger in the baking dish – Just kidding!)
