Adding a little zing to my Green Smoothie

Love this time of year! I bought a huge box of mandarin oranges ($5) from the supermarket. Fingers crossed it lasts through the week. I could sit down and eat the whole box! I peeled a couple and tossed them in my Vitamix with the rest of the ingredients.

Here’s my Orange Crush recipe: Two handfuls of Spinach, 1 banana, 2 mandarins, 1 piece celery stock, a spoonful of avocado and cup of water.

What a refreshing taste! I tend to get bored drinking the same smoothie day after day. So I like to add new fruits or try new greens. Besides it’s important to eat a variety of different fruits and veggies every day.
