Cha-ching! For the machine and a two litre container and a smaller container – $600 plus tax. I know. I know. You’re thinking…. you paid what for a blender??? Ask anyone who has one and they will tell you, it’s more than a blender! Plus there’s a 7 year warranty. Bonus. I didn’t buy a dry container for making flours and grinding nuts etc. I didn’t want to fork out another $100. Besides I don’t think I would use it that much right now. The Vitamix demo crew will be back this summer so if I change my mind I will pick one up then.
I know the Vitamix will change my life. I’ve only unpacked it two hours ago and I have already made a green smoothie and hummus. The possibilities are endless. My whole food lifestyle has just gotten way easier. I may even delve into raw foodism.
Sona, from my running clinic, bought one earlier this week. She said they used it four times in one day. We’ve already made plans to exchange recipes. You can tell, I’m excited, right?
I can’t wait to make cashew and peanut butter and hot soup. I will never buy processed again. It’s perfect timing too because the public market in Red Deer just opened two weeks ago. Fresh veggies and fruit!
The unit comes with a DVD and a recipe book chalked full with scrumptious eats. I see a lot of Vitamix parties in my future.
I super want a Vitamix, but I can't afford one. I stared longingly when I was at Costco last weekend.
I saved up my expense cheques from work so it wasn't that hard of a hit to my bank account. I'll probably not eat out for the next two months 🙂
