I convinced Nick to go to Gatineau Park today. I haven’t been there in ages and I needed to get out of the concrete jungle. We hiked around the protected 2.5 km Pink Lake. It was as beautiful as I remember, despite some rerouting due to falling rocks. Because it was the middle of the week and early morning, we didn’t come across many explorers.

From there we drove up to Meech Lake and then back to Mackenzie King Estate. We hiked to the disappointing waterfalls. On our way back we were lucky to catch a young doe nibbling on some leaves.
