Basic Instant Pot Seitan

Get your protein fix with this tasty plant-based protein.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Vital Wheat Gluten
  • 1/3 cup Nutritional yeast
  • 1 tbsp garlic
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp chili
  • 2 cups water

Equipment

  • Instant Pot
  • Bowl
  • Measuring cups
  • Spoon

Method
 

  1. Combine dry ingredients in bowl
  2. Slowly add water to make a dough
  3. Knead until well combined
  4. Rest for a couple of minutes
  5. Add loaf in instant pot
  6. Cover loaf with remaining water
  7. Pressure cook for 20 minutes
