Sven was taken.
Therefore I had no choice than to Google “Nordic Names” (and friends others to do the same). Several were interesting but very hard to pronounce. I almost went with Olaf until Sona suggested the perfect name โ Bjorn as in Bjorn to run. I am so fortunate to have clever friends.
Yes the treadmill has finally arrived and I have put it to good use. Fortunately and fittingly the weather has been great so I have been switching it up everyday. I mean who wants to run inside when it gorgeous outside? Goodbye winter.
My treadmill is crazy. Hello all the bells and whistles. It’s really big and shiny (thankfully it folds up)fit. I have an iFit subscription too, which gives me access to treadmill workouts, videos and other exercise resources. Tons of information on fitness, food and weight loss. It also have an iFit bracelet (coach). It’s a little overwhelming because I just want to run.
Anyway I am super excited to use my treadmill. I have to do some research though on the proper way to run on a treadmill or whatever. My legs felt like lead one day after a challenging workout on the treadmill. I am sure it has to do with my gait. Surely we must run differently on a machine than on pavement or dirt. I love that I can watch Netflix or YouTube will I run. It beats staring at a wall.
Bjorn to run
Bjorn will not replace my outdoor runs. I see him complementing my speed work and my hill training. He will also help squash all those bad days. There will be no excuses when I have a very expensive gym membership in my second bedroom.
Do you run on a treadmill? Is your gait different? I would love to hear from you in the comments below.
