Bikram Yoga gets better. The more I go, the better I feel. I have gone six times in the last two weeks. My first class was a painful reminder of how I must pay better attention to my body.
My shoulders, neck and my arms ached. I could barely keep my arms up in the air for the first few postures. It doesn’t help that I have a bum right shoulder and I have been getting physio on my neck.
But I am determined to stick with Bikram for at least four months. I really loved it when I tried last November. I just couldn’t justify spending close to $100 a month on top of the $126 that I pay for crossfit. I will just have to tighten up my purse strings because now I am all in.
I already feel like I have improved since my first class. While I have a long way to go with my practice, I feel the slight improvements. My neck isn’t as sore with the first breathing exercise and I am feeling less dizzy.
The plan is to go at 5:30 p.m. during the week. Now that I finish work at 4:30 p.m. I am able to make the class. Before I would go to the 7 p.m class and I would always miss Crossfit in the morning. My hips and shoulders are excited about my venture into hot yoga.
