I ran on Tuesday. My legs felt heavy and I blame the self-imposed lunges earlier in the day. What the heck was I thinking? It always takes my body at least two days to recover from the weighted lunges. It sucks yet my butt welcomes the attention.
In less than a month, I will run my second and my last race this year. I running Bill’s Trail Run in Lacombe. I hope I can pull 10 miles out of my butt without too much hurt. Registration is still open so you still have to sign up if you are on the fence.
I am super excited about the race. It’s been so long since I’ve seen a starting line. My right leg is feeling so so and my foot seems to be benefiting from the rest. I’ll be taking it easy as I put some miles under my feet.
I know the course pretty well so I am not too concerned about the elevation or anything. It should be a sweet race. Now cross your fingers it does not snow!
Good to get away, and be back for me too. You also just reminded me of a favourite song by Soul II Soul.
Ha ha you got my headline 🙂 What's funny is I just found an old Soul II Soul tape. Loved them!
