My gosh it felt amazing to be running today. The sun was shining and the temperatures were fluctuating above zero all day. I was happy to have some company. Brent, who is training for the Calgary marathon, joined me for a 11k run around the city. We even touched grass. That was unexpected after all the snow we have gotten recently!
We dedicated our distance to #MegMiles. Megan was an avid Virigina runner who was killed on her morning run by a drunk driver this past week. It’s tragic beyond words. I got chills when I heard what happened. Brent and I talked about how it could have been us & the need for stiffer penalties for drunk drivers. Tribute runs to honour Meg were held all over the world today. As always the running community comes together for one of its own.
Maybe spring is on the way? I enjoyed my run so much. I’ve been slacking a little lately with my endurance building so it was great to get back into the run of things on such a nice day!

I headed out for my run today and dedicated the miles to Meg too. Such a sad story. It was gorgeous here, but windy.
I’ve nominated & tagged you for the Liebster award!
The questions & rules are on my blog if your interested!
Jealous you got sun on your run! AND you touched grass! Lucky! I think it was warmer here though, 30°F. 😛 Such a tragedy in VA. People are so careless when they get behind the wheel. So sad.
