Wouldn’t it be awesome if I didn’t have to work? That way I could run/workout whenever I wanted. I haven’t married a millionaire and I haven’t won the lottery. That means I have to work my training around what pays the bills. I had a busy week (again) but I managed to squeeze in some quality workouts.
Week 8:
Monday: Swim 20 laps
Tuesday: Rest
Wednesday: Rest
Thursday: 8k Tempo
Friday: 8K Tempo
Saturday: 10K track (3×800)
Sunday: 30K
This week I will shift my focus to longer tempo runs. I want to get back to the gym too. My busy schedule has taken a nose dive. I hope to get back into the 6 a.m. habit once more. I really missed weight training. I’ve been doing some workouts at home but it just isn’t the same.
Adding the swim on Monday was great for recovery. I may just do that every week now. While I am not the greatest swimmer it was just nice to switch things up a bit.
