Last week was all about finding the right balance of sleep, work, food and training. I was super tired on Sunday after my long run. I had met John for a coffee before doing some errands. When I got home I napped for a couple hours. Saturday’s run coupled with a half a bottle of wine probably didn’t help much.
I am concentrating on speed work & strength in Week 6. I skipped the strength last week because I could not make it to the gym within their scheduled hours. I won’t make it there this week so I am going to have to be creative in my strength training again.
Monday: Rest
Tuesday: 5 km + Barbell Class (deadlift)
Wednesday: 6 km tempo
Thursday: 8 km
Friday: Rest
Saturday: 7.5 km (Race Report to Come) Very hilly
Sunday: 22 km
Now that Audrey and I are finally training for the same race, I can have someone to talk to about my training. Good to bounce ideas and to whine and moan when I have a bad training day.
