Starting today the box is running a 100 day burpee challenge. I’m totally up for it. The details are captured in the photo below but I will break it down for you.
On June 1 (today) participants will do one burpee. On June 2, participants will do 2 burpees and so on and so on until September when we’re sweating bullets to do 100 burpees (or whatever it works out to be. Math is not my strong point.
My strategy is to do a burpee before the WODs when I am at the box. Strength in numbers, right? Besides I don’t think my neighbours below would be thrilled with my jumping around at 6 a.m.
Because the challenge started today, I decided to do one on my power walk. (My left foot is still sore so I’m giving it more rest before I start running again) There was no one around but still I felt a little silly doing 1 single burpee in the middle of no where. Yes I could have done more but I’m saving my energy for Day 86.
Have you done a burpee challenge? A while back I did a squat challenge but I lost some motivation because I was doing it alone. With the box involved, I think this time I will have more focus and motivation.
