I didn’t have time to be a bundle of nerves because I was so busy at work. Isn’t this always the case when you plan to leave early?
It’s been raining in Red Deer all day. In fact it’s been raining in most of the province all day. I checked the forecast for Edmonton and tomorrow does not look promising. It’s going to be a wet one and there’s no point in complaining.
The only thing I can do is ensure I have enough warm clothes especially socks to change into throughout the course. I’m crossing my fingers that it’s not cold. I would be even more miserable than I anticipate I will be for those long 50 kilometres. I haven’t had much success in finding answers about the race from the organizers. They must assume everyone has run Blackfoot before so there’s no point in answering basic questions. Most of the stuff I have figured out from previous racers. Though it was nice to receive two mass emails this week giving directions to the site and some information about aid stations.
