Mostly I think I slept-WOD this morning. I took a sleeping aid last night and I don’t think the effects have worn off entirely. My power cleans were not working for me. It was just one of those mornings. In fact I think most of the guys were half asleep. Someone knocked over Melea’s smoothie. So there was this sticky pink mess that we had to clean before our WOD. Good times.
I wasn’t feeling the WOD much either. I was done in 6:49. One small victory? I used the 16 kg kettlebell as opposed to the 12 kg one that I always grab. Small things.
I skipped the WOD on Tuesday because I did not sleep well on Monday night. I was up until 3 a.m. It was just one of those days. Ever get a bout of insomnia? Usually it hits me after I cover an event at night. I can never put my mind to rest.
There’s a spring in my step now that only a good night’s rest will do. I am looking forward to run after work. Spring is starting to make her way to Red Deer. Yay!
