Honestly, I set my alarm for 8 a.m. I wanted to get my hills in before lunch. After hitting snooze a couple times, I quickly checked the weather map on my iPhone. It read -24C. Ugh. I made a quick decision. Sleep is more important than freezing my butt off for an hour.
I closed my eyes and rested for about 10 minutes. I considered going to CrossFit for the 9 a.m. class and then sticking around to watch the Open. I wasn’t feeling it. I was meeting Melea & Megan for brunch so I texted that I would just meet them at Cora’s.
I didn’t want to be a complete slug. I unrolled my yoga mat and went to work on some ankle mobility exercises. They aren’t terribly exciting but they are a must if I want progress.
We met around 12 p.m. for brunch. Doesn’t this look tasty? It sure was. I told the waitress it needed to come with “how to eat” instructions. I also had a side of potatoes. I was hungry and dying for a coffee. I had about four re-fills. They need to serve the coffee in larger mugs!
Take a look at Megan’s feast plus a side order of bacon. She earned it. I’m told Megan rocked the 13.3 WOD this morning. I believe it. This girl is a rockstar! Her mom was visiting from out of town so joined us for brunch too. Add twitter pal @beckyainsley and there were five of us. Good conversation & good food!
