But I am in training and I am focused so I got out of my work clothes and put on my running clothes. I really needed to run. My legs felt heavy when I started out. Heavy. The thrusters from the night before sure did a number on them.
Icy was the theme of this run. Throw in slow and steady. It took me a couple kilometres to shrug off my work day and get my head straight. I ran a few quick repeats where the sidewalk was clear.
Once I warmed up, I felt SO MUCH BETTER. I only ran for 45 minutes but my legs thanked me in the end.
Because it’s still winter and it’s dark when I get home, I am finding it really tough to get all my workouts in. But once I get out there or I arrive at the box, I am ready to go. Funny how that works, right?
