Mark Lee recommended this book. There were no books on the Chapters’ shelves so I ordered the book through the kiosk. It should arrive in a couple weeks. Mark said there’s plenty of training schedules to choose from in the book. I need a schedule that fits into my crazy life.
I had asked on the Blackfoot Facebook page what type of schedule I should follow. I was told to train for a marathon but add more distance to my longer runs. That makes total sense. I don’t want to get caught up in the obsession of calculating mileage that some runners have. I like to run for fun but I also like to run to compete with myself.
I hope that I don’t have to dial back my CrossFit WODs. I am totally hooked. Although my name is ALWAYS on the bottom of the whiteboard, I love pushing myself in the WODs. I struggle with confidence everyday in my WODs. At least I know I can run without too much trouble. A lot of crossfitters seem to hate running. Not me. (On an unrelated note I finally pressed more than 50 pounds this week. Yay!)
I am still super excited and ready to get going. I only wish the snow would melt. Tired of winter running!
