Squat for it

Yasso 800s were not on my plate today. My legs felt a little wonky this morning so I decided to keep my run simple. It was very fall like. I wore a long sleeved shirt and put on my ruby red Mizunos. I didn’t have a set distance. I wanted to run the kinks out of my legs.Mid-run I decided I would run 30-second speed intervals. I ran 30 seconds hard then jogged for 1-2 minutes to recover. I repeated this 10 times over the course of my 6k run. I felt awesome. When I got home I did 50 squats and some stretching.

Josh of Nanaimo and I are in this squat competition – 50 squats a day for 50 days. The loser has to buy dinner or something. It’s on the honour system. Today we’re on day 9. So far, so good.

For the rest of the week it’s CrossFit and running. Because my work schedule is a little wonky this week, I will be scheduling runs at the last minute. I am looking forward to this week.
