I am going to live to run again. My shoulder feels much better and I have gained the mobility back in my left arm. Laura popped by this afternoon to take me grocery shopping. She also fastened my sling on properly. Last night I quickly learned putting on a sling with one hand is not easy. Also doing anything with one hand is not easy when you’re used to two. (Note: I am tying with one hand)
Pain has subsided. Yay! I was super worried yesterday. Should be able to get back on my running feet Monday or even tomorrow, if I am lucky.
With all this downtime, I’ve been watching the Olympics. Canada is doing great. I love watching the athletics, the gymnastics, taekwondo and the diving. I’ve also got a new appreciation for weight lifting so I have been glued to the clean & jerk and snatch competitions. My only complaint is the random coverage. I never know what is live or a rebroadcast. Frustrating to get an alert that Canada won a medal in an event and it’s not being broadcast. Sure it will be broadcast later but I want to be in the moment. Grrr!
I love the segments on CTV that give a glimpse into the athletes. So many I’ve never heard of before. I bet a lot of Canadians would say the same. After these Olympics, they will be household names! Go Canada Go!
