Seems like I am spending so much money lately on my health and fitness. I was thinking this as I handed over my debit card to pay for my next purchase –– a speed jump rope. I did a quick inventory in my head. So far this year I have bought:
- 4 pairs of sneakers
- 1 Vitamix (and extra container)
- A few running shirts/shirts/shorts
- One year membership at Ignite Fitness
- Tennis balls
- Lacrosse balls
- 1 hydration pack
- 1 hydration belt
- 1 SpiBelt
- 5 races
- CrossFit Endurance clinic
- Swim suit
- 1 dowel
I need an intervention. But back to the jump rope. I really want to master the double unders. I’m not getting anywhere because I don’t practice. I was told the speed rope helps a lot. Right so after coffee with Jessica, I went outside to practice. I set a 15-minute timer and skipped. Mostly I single skipped and threw a couple doubles in the mix. I definitely need some tips on how to catch my rhythm. Any ideas?
I started getting better when I quit just trying to pound out double unders and started doing a single skip, double under, single skip, double under.
That's a good idea. I need to practice. Funny they were a part of our WOD this morning. Like anything I think they will come when I do make the time to practice. Thanks for your comments!
