Returning to CrossFit after 2 week hiatus

I have two great excuses for not going to CrossFit for two weeks. 1) I had to taper for my half-marathon. 2) I had to recover from my half-marathon.

Still I feel slightly guilty for missing two weeks of WODs. I went to the 9 a.m. OnRamp with Jessica. I was excited that she finally decided to give it a go. There were three of us including Carla. 
Our skill was the press โ€“ again. I swear every Saturday I do the press. You’d think I would see more progress. But oh no. I’m stuck pressing between 48 and 50 pounds. Sigh. 
Saturday WOD:
400 metre run
50% of push ups
Lunges (2 lengths of gym)
15 Thrusters
75% sit ups
400 metre run
I didn’t mind this WOD. I felt pretty strong. Also the short dash was good my legs. My push ups are feeling good and Wade said my form was good on my thrusters. I noticed my squat was muI better than two weeks ago. Stretching works! After the WOD, we worked on medicine ball cleans. My feet were a little out on the landing but other than that they were pretty clean. I did two sets of 10 pull up to finish my work out. 
Jessica and I went for coffee downtown. I think she’s hooked too. Great way to start the morning!
