I ran downstairs to the parking lot only to find I had a flat tire. The night before I even put air in that same tire on the driver’s front side. Ugh.
Of course I panicked. I texted just about everybody I knew in Red Deer (2) and another in Edmonton to take pity on my situation. I even tweeted for help. I had no takers. After I calmed down I called Nissan roadside assistance. I learned I was covered up to 200 kilometres from my city. Awesome. I was still in my parking lot.
I walked over to the 7/11 and picked up a coffee to drink while I waited for my knight in shining armour. He arrived within 30 minutes. Whew! I got into work right on time.
I know a flat tire isn’t a big deal. But little things like this seriously stress me out. After work I went to Canadian Tire and got four new tires put on. The last time I was at Nissan, the staff mentioned my tires were pretty bad. My coworker commented on it yesterday too.
Not only was I having issues with my car I had a frustrating conversation with a family member in the morning. That stressed me out too. And to top it off, I had an argument with a coworker. I really wish I could go for a run to calm myself down. I know it’s probably not a good idea because my legs need the rest.
I went to my next best stress reliever – a bottle of red wine.
Time to exhale.
