It was too much of a beautiful day not to go for a run. I waited until early afternoon to take full advantage of the sun’s rays. I hope we can expect more of this weather.
I kept it short so I could do a little speed work. I’m running with the run group in the morning so I wanted my legs to feel fresh. I don’t want to over do it when I am just starting to get back into training.
There were a handful of people out on the trails. They must have felt the same way –– enjoy the nice weather while we can.
I decided to follow a schedule for next month’s half-marathon. At first, I thought I would just wing it with a few long runs and focus on my marathon training. I’m going to dig out one of my old training schedules.
Sticking to the schedule will be a challenge. On Monday, I start my Learn to Run clinic through the Running Room which trains three days a week. Throw in work and all that other jazz I’ll be a busy bee.
My new mantra? Time management. Time management.
