on Snow watch

I must admit. It was tough psyching myself up to go outside. From my balcony window, I saw only dull and more dull. I can feel it in my bones – it  will snow any day now.

I went out and it was incredibly refreshing. I ran 6k. Tomorrow I’ll run 16k and test my marathon pace. I still have to pinch myself. I can’t believe I am running the New York Marathon. Only two years ago, I was psyching myself up to run my first half-marathon. Now in eight days, I will be running twice the mileage. This goes to show you can do anything if you put your mind to it.

I am so happy Audrey will be running beside me (until she takes off and leaves me in the dust).
