Track on track off

I have honey in my hair. I know exactly how it happened. Now I am trying to decide whether I should wash my hair immediately or wait until the morning. I am feeling glued to the couch. Likely the sticky situation will not be resolved until morning.

I managed another track workout. They are touch. Like tough. I know this speed work is going to help my running but gosh they can be challenging.

Once again I ran 800 metres two times then walked 400 metres (repeat 4 times). I went out fast on each repeat. I concentrated on my form. My right arm was all wonky.

I never know how to hold my hands. I know this sounds silly. But I am overly aware of what my hands are doing. I try to hold a fist but it gets awkward soon enough. When I let them hang, I feel like I am doing some sort of jig.

Yes I know. All very entertaining. But all very annoying. I asked Google for tips. She was no help. The response I got was relax your shoulders blah blah blah.

Sigh. My hands are my running curse.

But I digress … despite my wonky upper body I pushed through the repeats. I was alone on the track so I did not feel self-conscious. It was a good feeling.
