I listened to my iPod through the sleeve in my Victoria half-marathon shirt. This was the first time I tried the little pocket. Much of running clothing have these little holes to weave my earphones and pockets for my iPod. I just never bothered to try it out.
After parting with Wendy, I continued on my way and cranked up my music. I really needed the motivation for those 24k.
As I was soaked when I got home, I immediately stripped down and hopped in a hot shower. I threw my clothes in the laundry basket.
After the shower, I gathered up my clothing and put my dirty laundry in the washer.
A few minutes later I remembered my iPod was still in my shirt.
Damn. I ran downstairs and opened the washer. I felt for the shirt. The iPod was no longer in the little pocket. Damn.
The iPod shuffle was swimming for her life in the washing machine.
I couldn’t do anything about it so I shut the lid to let my clothes finish the washing cycle.
Half an hour later, I went down to switch the machines.
My little pink iPod was still intact. Good thing Apple always encases everything in metal.
I plugged it into my MacBook Pro and volia… the green light starts flickering.
I turn on iTunes. Bravo, the iPod survived.
