I haven’t worn glasses regularly for about 20 years now. I probably should give my eyes a break but I just hate wearing them. This morning, I got up at 7 for my long run at 9 a.m.
As usual, I soaked my contacts over night. I bought new solution on Friday which is the reason my eyes are bright red today.
I popped my right contact into my eye after giving it a squirt of solution. My eye started buring at once. I quickly yanked the lens out and flushed my eye with cold water for a couple of minutes.
There’s a warning on the bottle telling users not to squirt solution on the contact before inserting in eye. Soak for 6 hours in a special container and then insert in eye.
I can’t run in glasses. I had to find a store which sold solution. I drove to two convenience stores but neither sold any. IGA was open so I found a bottle there. I soaked my contacts and flushed my eye again. Lesson learned – read instructions.
