I was out for a jog. I was nearing the down hill near the bridge close to the pavilion in Muskoseepi Park. I heard skateboarders closing in. I decided to slow down and let them pass. I didn’t want to get mowed down by some punk.
The first guy glided down the hill with east. The second guy whipped by me full speed. Bad idea. His skateboard caught something on the trail. Sure enough he had a fantastic wipe out. I called down asking if he was okay. He grunted, no thanks, I am fine.
I ran by him while he was cleaning up. He passed me again. I could see his right shoulder and top of his torso was covered in blood. Yup a bad spin. I commented. You’re bleeding. Not a problem, he answered. I have bled worse.
At least I offered to help. I ran on. Later on, the bleeder and his buddy passed me again on the trails. No spins this time.
