People are generally curious. I get that. But some people are just down right nosy and rude.
There are three questions I am generally asked at least a few times a month. It doesn’t matter where the heck I am I get questioned.
Question #1 Don’t you want to get married? Followed immediately by Question #2 Don’t you want children?
Lucky me I was asked twice within a few days of the questions by two different people. One man, who I barely know, is the father of one of the kids in my tkd class. I have spoken to him on occasion about tkd, Korea or whatever. Nothing too serious, you know. Today he asked me question #1 and I responded politely with, “I haven’t met the right person”. He sorted laughed at me then asked question #2. I just looked at him and well yeah (didn’t you hear my answer to question #1?)
My own mother asks me nothing about my singlehood or my lack of prospects so why does some man, whom I barely know feel he has the right to ask me? This pisses me off. I don’t ask strangers inappropriate questions.
Then to top it all off, he asked me my third most nonfavorite question to answer. Question#3 What are you? or What is your background?
I may be open about much in my life but my family and my background is my business. At first I didn’t understand what he was getting at. So I responded with my parents are from eastern Canada. Then the questions became more personal and I just made some joke and turned away. The boldness of some people just amaze me.

What about Question #4 which you get asked a few times a month: Do you want to have some "fun" tonight?
I know for sure you like being asked that question!!!
Or Question #4 could be: "So why are you still single?". Like, as if I know!!

That's a good one LR! How about Question #5: Are those real or silicon?
My question has changed; instead of "Don't you want to get married? or When will you get married?" it is sometimes "Why didn't you get married?"
Really the train has left the station, and I missed it? Stop the presses Batman!
Strangers seem more worried about my being single than I do!
Keep truckin' Crystal! You aren't "Stuck in Lodi", but I miss you here in Korea:)
